Founded by Jim Rogers in 1947, the company quickly established a reputation for combining technical superiority with an appreciation of the richness and warmth of natural sound, setting a precedent for British Audio Worldwide.

In the 60’s Rogers introduced the Cadet range of amplifiers, which were renowned as the best price-to-performance equipment in that era and was the best-selling amplifier in that category.

By the 1970’s, Rogers had been commissioned by the BBC to produce the industry-renowned LS3/5a, and to date; over 50,000 pairs have been manufactured. Other collaborations followed, creating a range of products that have become standard equipment in recording studios around the world.

Committed to maintaining this lead, the company continues to innovate, experimenting with new production methods and new forms that accentuate and enhance the sound quality of the equipment. This drive for perfection ensures that the products Rogers are working on today are as revolutionary as the ones that started the business so many years ago.

The original Cadet Series

The original Cadet MK II amplifier was introduced in 1963 and was a huge success that led to a long waiting list for longing audiophiles. The cadet II was later replaced with a facelift and the name appropriately renamed as Cadet III, it was an improvement over the old with more power and more modern faceplate design which made it a timeless design and looks up to date even at today’s’ angle

Karl-Heinz is a world-renowned designer and engineer who has designed multiple award-winning audio products for his own company and others. A German born Hi Fi enthusiast, he has helped more British based companies design their audio products than of any other origins and truly understands the uniqueness to British audio equipment.

The collaboration of Rogers with Karl-Heinz has brought a wealth of experience and fresh new ideas to our Rogers design team whilst we continued to maintain the truthful sound & build quality of Rogers.

Features of the Cadet series Tube Amplifiers

All hard-wired circuitry

All of the new Cadet series amplifiers maintained the tradition of the original Cadet series with the hard wire point to point soldering of the components in the signal path. We did not sacrifice the importance of sound quality with the manufacturing efficiencies of using printed circuit boards. Without doubt this method of making tube amplifiers is far superior to printed circuit boards.

Double Chassis design

To maintain the structural strength and the resistance to external noise and chassis resonance, all Cadet series amplifiers use double chassis to ensure the cleanest signal reproduced

Negative Feedback Control

With our low powered amplifiers there is a NFC so that there is a maximum control with the pairing of different speaker types. The rationale of this design ensures the best match of the different damping factors of various loudspeakers to be matched. Whilst with higher-powered amplifiers the effect is less apparent.

Vibration control

Although Vacuum tubes are built very rugged, however vibration does play a difference in the amplification of the audio signal, to minimize the distortion due to vibration from external sources, each amplifier is build on special damping feet that are resonance tuned.
